
Starting with a jam session in 1998 at the Country House on Eyota Drive between local legend Cousin Homer along with Ray Harris, Gary Pope, newcomer Drew Reger the seeds were sown.
Together with numerous other good guys, like Joe “Flash” Waters, Jeff “Chops” Hood, Ben Williamson, Burt “Blacky” Christopher and Gordon “Goober” Roberts, this group known as the Cousin Homer band played from Virginia to South Carolina over the next 10 years..
On New Year’s Eve in 2009 at Sharkys, Chuck, “the notorious one” Uzzell joined Ray, Gary intrude on stage to form Bailout and that launched the next year of rock ‘n’ roll from Ocean Isle Beach North Carolina.
In 2013 Bailout added keyboards. Thanks to Chuck’s good friend, Reid Barker, joining from Atlanta. This line and played for many years until Reid married the love of his life and return to Atlanta

In 2022 Jim “Miami” Barbee joined the band bringing his searing harmonica chops and first class vocals to the band. This is the lineup at this time!
